It will be here before you know it!! In 31 days, we will officially begin our staff training for the 2011 camp season. That week is always a fun week...catching up with old friends, meeting new people, finding refreshment in the Word and in His work....and of course the camping trip! I should be able to officially let you know where we will be camping this year. It's usually a whirlwind of a camping trip, but it's such a great time to get to know everyone a little better.
** And just a reminder....unless you have had it approved beforehand, staff training week is MANDATORY!!!
On Wednesday nights I have a ministry out at Ft Wingate (a boarding school for navajo kids)....last night I did an "advertisement" about the camp....told them all about it, sang camp songs and showed the 2010 camp video (well, part of it). That REALLY got me in the mood for camp...seeing all the staff, kids, chapels, skits, and Ms Anna's famous slimings (makes me gag to even watch those!). In just a little over a year, we will be knee deep in all of that....can't wait!
Praying that each one of you who are going to be serving are spiritually preparing yourselves for the summer. You veterans know how exhausting it can be, on every level. You new staff, I can't even put into words the weariness and tiredness your mind and body will feel after just a few weeks. But God is amazing and the more you pour out, the more He 'fills your cup' again. It's a beautiful thing to be a part of.
Hope you are getting excited for the summer and all that God is going to do here at Broken Arrow Bible Ranch.....in the lives of the campers, and in our own lives, as well.
